Overwhelmed

We haven't begun telling our friends.
We don't have the heart to tell the girls... not yet.

DK is excited and overwhelmed.
Part of me is excited too, but if I'm being honest...
A bigger part of me is sad and overwhelmed... for now.

Things are going to change... a lot. around here.

Remember my post on 'change'?
I didn't know this would be the year of such change.

I think the fortune cookies of one of our favorite eating places, Pei Wei, keeps sending me messages eerily appropriate for what life is dealing.

Like, when I started my yeast cleanse diet three weeks ago, my fortune cookie said, "Emotions can be sweet and sour, so can your meal."  Seriously.  How did they know that I always ordered a sweet veggie and brown rice dish??  Why must the cookie taunt me?  Weird.

Oh, and by the way, I never eat the cookie.  I just like to know my fortune.  ;)

And after this week's news, see what they give us?

See?  The cookie wants me to accept the opportunity change.
I will.  In time.

I know that God has us in the palm of His hand.
But I need to work through some of the details with just a lil' help from...

too.

Don't worry, I'll share details in the weeks ahead...
and try to make sure that my next post involves less Kleenex.

  2. The week we out our referral for the boys my friend had opened a fortune cookie that said...

"Long journeys begin with a single step" and the word on the other side said "children". She mailed it to me when we got the referral.

    Strange...
