A is for {Alaska}

This has been a loooong week.  Hubs has been between WA and Anchorage, Alaska for the past 9 days.  To say that we miss him, would be an understatement.

And aren't you glad I didn't update you with my whining slight jealousy of his restaurant views, and...

helicopter ride?  You know, like last time...  Or tempt you with yummy salmon dishes and Alaskan sunsets at 10:00 p.m.

I'm not sure why I would be jealous.  I mean... look at my view.

When I am sitting still, that is... at 2 and 3 a.m.  {And I wonder why I have raccoon eyes??}

Unlike our last trip {in which we had to drop off hubs *tears shed*}, we are actually looking forward to our next trip to the airport!  I know two lil' girls who've missed their daddy and are eager to see what lil' souvenirs he may have in store for them.

What are you looking forward to?

{It's gotta be the season change, right??  Happy!  Happy!  The only thing that takes away the sting of not having huge bins of watermelon readily available is the enormous bin of pumpkins!  Got. to. love. fall. y'all!}

  1. I feel a pang of jealousy when my husband goes places without me and sends back pictures of where he is. Just. Not. Fair.
    Today is the start of our "Sisters' Weekend": Mom, sisters, and sisters-in-law are headed to the mountains for a weekend of fun (and no men!)!

  2. Ha-gmta! I just wrote today about the fact that my hubs was in South Africa all week and I was not.

    The pictures are gorgeous and Alaska is on my list of places to see.

    I'm up till ridiculous hours when he travels and when he comes home I finally sleep well. He laughs at the fact that he is the one who has had the gazillion hour flight crossing multiple time zones and I'm the one who is exhausted!

    Have a nice weekend...I'm going to see my girlies so I'm happy!

  8. I can totally relate to the missing your husband. My husband works out of state and I only see him on the weekends. The girls and I miss him terribly. The worst is when the girls are tired and only want their Daddy. We've been doing this for 6 months, the only thing that helps me is that I know there is an end in sight and I LIVE for the weekends!Happy mothering!
