Is this how Paula Deen started?

So, here's the scoop. The girls are getting old enough that they want to make some of their own snacks from time to time. I'm okay with that. I'll just help clean up the 14, 750 crumbs when it's over. They have to learn some time, right?

However, I had to draw the line when I came downstairs to find Gracie putting the finishing touches on this masterpiece.

Almond Butter AND Butter Toast
1 tbsp Almond Butter
1/2 stick of Butter
2 sliced whole wheat bread, toasted

You'll not find a child hiding under the table eating a stick of butter here. No... she wants it to look like an entree'.... Paula Deen style!

No worries. I saved her left ventricle this time by scooping all of the butter off and leaving the peanut butter.

Of course, like any great chef, she was not happy with someone messin' with her recipe. Who knows? Maybe she'll thank me for it one day...

  3. She definitely learned these cooking skills from Paula. That lady is the butter queen.

My oldest daughter would eat just plain butter out of the fridge when she was little. I would find finger indentations in each stick. Gross.

  4. That is just the most hilarious thing. I love it. I'd probably want to eat it though. Sad, but true!

  5. She is too cute! lol It looks like a fantastic entree' to me...although I think I would rather the butter melted on the toast....or better yet, minus the butter. Thankfully she has a mom who cares enough to save her left ventricle! :)
