Project 365 ~ Week 46

Week 46.  Already??   We had a great week.  We went from spending time with Granny... to picking Daddy up from the airport!  Perfect.

We had a lovely weekend with Granny over the weekend.  Running errands, experimenting with watercolors, and making Christmas ornaments.

The girls being silly.  I'm pretty sure they were making a video on Gracie's computer.  Ha.

Gracie tries her hand at making duct tape bows.  It's important to do it with fashion, you know.  Dressed in her lyrical costume for dance competition.  :)

The girls and I waited on theater to start.  It was raining.  I was exhausted.  I may or may not have taken a tiny cat nap in the car while waiting on the girls to finish.

Nator's piano lesson.   Her teacher informed us that she signed Nator up for 10 songs {memorized} for the upcoming music guild.  Not primary.  She's only been in lessons about 3 1/2 months.  Wowzers.

We participated in Operation Christmas Child with the homeschooler group this week.  Collectively, we were able to assemble 25 boxes!  So fun!

The apple doesn't fall far from the ol' tree.  The pink shirt belongs to Gracie.  She put it right on top of my usual pile in the bathroom, while changing.  Ha.  Don't judge.  Oh... and I don't recommend those Biore' strips.  Ouch.

I caught a quick Kodak moment of Gracie catchin' up on some daddy lovin'.  I love moments like this.  Sigh...  After nearly two weeks away, we were all thankful to have him home!

  1. Looks like a fun week! Your girl must be talented in piano if her teacher wants her to play 10 songs. Good luck!

  2. looks like you had a pretty great week! Ending the best with your hubby coming home!

You need to video one of Nator's piano lessons so we can hear!!

  3. Glad Daddy is back home safe and sound. :)

Go Nator, with those piano lessons!!! That is awesome progress!

And, who doesn't love time with Granny, memories for the rest of your life! Love it.

    Happy weekend!

  4. He was gone for two weeks? You are a much stronger momman than I am. I go nuts if he pulls a three day. I think I'd have to drop the kids off at the grandparents house for a few days, if I was a single parent for that long. :)

  5. There's nothing better than time with Granny! We love any "Nana" moments we can catch around here too!

Great job to Nator on the piano! Word of advice... make her stick with it!!! I quit lessons after 7 years and so regret it now. :(

Operation Shoebox - LOVE that! Such a fun and easy way to teach your kids about giving. I haven't done it for awhile, but we may just have to do that this year again too!

  6. That last picture is so sweet!

And I agree with the above commenter about a clip of Nator playing the piano! How awesome that she is doing so well after so little time.

  7. Oh I would have been FREAKING out if I thought I had to play 10 songs at a recital - gah! But then I was not a natural at the piano like Nator must be. Go her!

Love the looks on their faces when they're working on that video - it's great that they're apparently such good friends.

  8. Oh how fun! That painting looks like a blast.

  9. Missing you so! Glad to be getting caught up.
Granny's house looks like the perfect place to be!! What is a duct tape bow and where did you find fun colors of duct tape?
10 memorized songs?!!! Wow, that is HUGE! If anyone can do it, Nator can.
Love the last shot! With the way my life has been lately I can definitely appreciate that picture!!

I always enjoy reading what you have to say... It makes my day! ;)
