Facebook {should be} Banned

There are reasons people don't post old pictures of themselves.
{the blog doesn't count}

Case in point.

Clearly, I was a victim of the 80's.  {Yeah, I would be the happy camper on your left, in blue.} Winged hair.  Yep, I worked hard on those satellite dishes.  Spray, spray, spray... blowdry till hair is nice and crispy.

I looked upset, yes?  I don't know that I was.  Honestly, I don't remember, but it could be attributed to those crazy tan stockings.  Ewe.

Remember the v-neck sweaters that were so popular?  No?  Hmmm... Apparently, they were working to throw me overboard for some apparel violation then?

At least I respected my elders.  That would be me, gazing at my youth pastor, admiring him for his fashion-bow-tie-sense, I'm sure.  Just don't look at my shoes, mkay?

You looked, didn't you?  I'm the only one wearing black shoes with a light-colored dress.  Where was my mother to direct my fashion sense?   Oh yes, on the left.  She's the nice looking blond, wearing a white-collared, blue dress with apparently... no shoes??   Maybe I'm wearing hers?

And I'm sure purple was all the rage then, too?  It would make me feel better if you said yes. ;)   Oh this lil' girl.  The things I would love to talk to her about... Mostly, I just want to hug her.

Oh, fashion aside, there were some fun memories.  So, technically, I can't be too upset for my friend posting these old pix.  50's night.  I almost forgot.  These were my girls.  What happened to MY poodle skirt?  I've always been behind in the fashion trends.  Strangely, I'm okay with that.

Just promise you'll intervene if I start sporting an 80's satellite-hair-wing-again.  Or just have me committed.

See the cutie patootie on the left, wearing the red Hawaiian shirt??  That would be my little brother.  The lil' basketball player, skateboard rider, jump out from behind corners and scare your big sis, cutie patootie.   I love this picture and not just because it's the only one that doesn't show off my 80's-disaster-fashion-faux-pas.  I just think my brother is a cutie.  That's all.  Still is, that lil' stinker.

Dear Facebook,

I've thought many times of getting rid of you.  You don't seem overly concerned about my personal information, nor others, for that matter.  However, I may have to keep you around, just to see if I can find some incriminating great, memory-filled pictures of my sweet friend... and post them.  To return the favor, of course. ;)

Thanks to all of you who responded to my night-time ponderings {in my last post}.  Apparently, you like my randomness and confessions??   My Gracie is right, you know.  You are ALL awesome!  Just thought you should know.  :)

  6. Oh, girl, you are BRAVE! I dare say that my pics from high school resemble these a little too closely. ;) And yes, purple was definitely in! Remember Sweet Valley Twins (the high school edition)? Jessica, the cool one, and her cool friends were always wearing purple. So really, you were awesome. ;)

  10. What? Purple outfits aren't still the rage. Crum, I've got to go change what I had laid out for church in the morning. Bummer! Sure glad I've got these pictures so I can fix my wardrobe...or what my momma thinks I should still be wearin'! (for reals!)
