Project 365 - Week 6

Sunday

Among many other things, we picked up Gracie's party supplies!  None of us would have guessed she would have wanted a Barbie theme, but it all started with... the cake.  More on that soon!

Monday

DK is out of state again for the week, so the girls are slumbering with Mama again.  Nator is winding down with her American Girl activity book.

Tuesday

Our Tuesday schedule is always crazy.  This week was no exception, Nator had a field trip to Space Center which required an extra pick-up from the mom-taxi... which made us run a few minutes late to dance practice.  Fortunately, I packed Nator's dance bag and she changed in the restroom.  I am taking cell pix of her sweet feet to distract myself from my public restroom germ-o-phobia!  Big cringe!  OCD?

Wednesday

I took Gracie to the chiropractor for severe chest and back pains.  It seems that when you stretch visits, it really doesn't pay off in the end.  Have I mentioned I love my chiropractor?  He may possibly be the best.

It was a rainy day and I fought sleep all day while doing schoolwork with the girls.  After watching a little TV (including AI) with the girls after dinner, I told them I was off to put on my jammies.  Without hesitation they began, "Pajamas on the the ground! Pajamas on the ground!  Lookin' like a (pause... they realized it may not be wise to tell mom she's lookin' like a fool. ;)  Glasses on your face, somethin' somethin' somethin'... Pajamas on the ground!"  They crack me up!  {No need for too much concern.  We only watch AI recorded so that we can fast forward as need be.  Sometimes, they get too ridiculous. Agreed?}

Oh... the picture is what I did after pj's were on and girls went upstairs to play before bed.  I googled. I have a lot on my mind these days.  I enjoyed my candle.  I checked messages.  I caught up on my DVR a little.  Dr. Oz really does have a lot to say.

Thursday

Another rainy day.  Some days, it's like the movie Groundhog Day around here.  It's the same thing over and over.  Today?  School.  Tomorrow?  School.  ;)  See Nator diligently concentrating?  I love it when she gets in the 'learning zone'.  She's a smart cookie, this one.

Friday

The girls made a large 'Welcome Home Daddy' banner for DK.  He came in bearing gifts... Saints shirts!  Woo-hoo!  He wasn't feeling very well, so I made the house quiet as I could while he napped.  Poor guy.

Saturday

We told the girls the big news.  I believe my many conversations with the girls really helped break the news gently as possible.  I'm still absorbing it myself, so I know there will still be teary moments ahead.

We ate at Panera for lunch, then we were off to run errands.  The girls each picked jammies for Gracie's upcoming pj party and a book, just because. ;)

Feel free to join Sara for another great week!!

As promised, I shall share our news soon.  I really appreciate the concern and emails checking up on me.  Bloggy friends are wonderful.  And I even got another award while I took a blog break this week.  I just didn't have it in me... Well, not without Kleenex, that is. ;)  Thanks, Jenny!

I shall be back to my positive self soon! ;)

  10. Sorry you are having a hard time. People handle change very differently.

I'm sure you grow weary of it, but I'm a little jealous of that special "girl time" you get with your kids. They are at such great ages.

    Praying for you!

  20. I liked the restroom pic and a bit amused imagining you in some third world situations where you would need grace upon grace ;)
Seriously tho', that is what I wish for you in whatever change is coming. His grace is sufficient and His power made known in our weakness.
