True Love Waits

Hubby calls after lunch and says,
"Pack up. We are going out of town today."
Laundry piles will have to wait.
Within hours, I have everything (or so I thought) by the door
ready to go. I forgot my camera!! Ugh!
So please excuse the quality (or lack thereof) of these cell pix.

Hubby has some work to do in Lake Charles, La.
So all of us gals (yes, including Jasmine) entertain ourselves at the hotel.
Who would have ever thought we would have brought our dog
to a hotel?? She was great, but not thrilled with riding in the elevator.

We check out and have the afternoon to entertain ourselves while
Hubby finishes the job.
So what do you do when you have at least 3 hrs to kill...
It's hot. You have a dog in the car and 2 kids to entertain.
Oh, and did I mention that you don't know the area... at all?

(I've seen this # go up to 110 before! It gets hot in the south, ya'll!)

Well, my GPS helped some, but DK helped even more.
What would I do without that man?
I don't want to know.

We toured the local Petco. Fun and laughs were had by all.
Gracie and Jasmine wanted to adopt a cat named "Spunky".
No thanks. We have enough spunk in our house, thank you.
Remember Bella?

We went on a scavenger hunt for a Cold Stone Creamery ice cream
for the girls and a sippy cup Starbucks for Mama.

Then we waited for Daddy.
Thankfully, there was a large open field nearby
where Jasmine could roam.

Too hot! So, we wait....
and entertain ourselves in the car till Daddy is done.

Next stop?
Granny's house!!
Yeah!!

  1. Sounds like a super fun impromto fun day. Temps in the 100s. WOW! We're just hoping for the 80s over night so the pool can warm up a bit. We still get down to the 50s and 60s!! This is strange summer for us up here in MI.
