No, I'm not pregnant. Just keep reading. Hehe...
We've never stopped until today...
when I spotted this headboard sitting outside.
Gracie has been without one since we moved into our house...
so have DK and I, but that's beside the point.
I'm excited!
With a little TLC, it will match her pink girlie room perfectly.
And to our surprise, it was FREE.
Gracie: "But I don't want a headboard!"
"I don't want anything hard."
Mama: "Umm, you sleep against the wall, Gracie."
Gracie: "But if it's in my room, how come I can't decide?"
Mama: "Maybe I can add a cushion to it? You can pick out your own fabric."
Gracie: (arms folded) "Okay."
All you need is: old headboard, white spray paint, hot glue gun, material of choice and cushion cut to size. Everything was attached with hot glue. Really, what did we do before that handy invention?

Walking through Hobby Lobby,
Gracie admires the many 'fake flowers' saying,
"I like fake flowers better, Mama, because they live longer." ;)
Gracie found this flower I put together years ago in my craft box.
She couldn't wait to add the finishing touch.
Personally, I liked the headboard the way we found it.
Well, after we washed it, repaired a few blemishes
with the handy glue gun, and gave it a new coat of paint, that is.
However, if you know Gracie at all, it must have the girlie,
Sharpay, over-the-top, pink factor.
This material is the softest material ever!
Fit for our Princess.
No wonder it's pink...
When I decorated her room 3 yrs ago,
all she requested was...
"Pink! Pink! And more Pink!"
Of course, Mommy decorated it wrong.
Tears ensued. The drama! I'll spare you.
So, here's the finished product... Gracie style.
Huge difference, no? ;)
"Mama, I love my new headboard!"
I think we'll have to visit this lil' shop again...
