Reflections & Celebrations

The end of a school year.
A time to reflect on where we've been...
and look ahead at where we're going.
The girls (and Mom) have finished the end of first and third grade.
It's bitter-sweet.
My heart is a bit saddened that first grade will not be in our house again.
wiping tear...

However, this time gives us an excuse to celebrate...
at an Astros game! Load 'em up. Let's hit the road...

It was in our line of view...
The suite we used to have access to when Andy Pettitte played for the Astros. DK is friends with Andy's dad, so he would occasionally call us to tell us we had the suite all to ourselves. It was especially nice while the girls were little. We could call a handful of friends and the kids had the whole room to play in or wander out with the adults to watch the game.

For this trip, we managed to get 1/2 price tickets for a special homeschoolers rate. The girls enjoy the atmosphere, but brought their own entertainment as well. A-Nator read some from her book, Little Women. I told you she loved reading. Gracie brought along Oreo, her Webkinz.

Take me out to the ball game,
(Why do we say that when we're already there?)
Take me out with the crowd.
(So long as the enthusiastic fan is not sitting right beside us.)
Buy me some peanuts
(A-Nator tells us what happens when you eat too many... see video ;)
and cracker jack,
(I didn't see these being sold??)
I don't care if I never get back,
(Actually, I do.)
Let me root, root, root for the home team,
(Go, Astros!)
If they don't win it's a shame.
(Oh well, we had fun anyway.)
For it's one, two, three strikes, you're out,
At the old ball game.

Ok, A-Nator... Stop distracting our players. ;)

Let's Play Ball!
