From the Spagetti Bowl

  • I’m looking forward to having my hubby home this weekend. We are picking him up from the airport today. Chicago has had him long enough.
  • Parenting is the best. However, I only wish I didn’t have to wear this uniform sometimes.

Maybe I should consider getting a whistle?

  • Aristotle once said, “The roots of education are bitter, but the fruit is sweet.
I can’t believe another school year is coming to an end. I remember being anxious about teaching my girls to read before we started on our homeschool journey. Could I do it? After much time… and patience, I can honestly say, “Yes!” Thank God for great curriculum to start us on our path…

One of my proudest moments was when Gracie walked downstairs to announce that she’d finished her book (many pages, very few pictures) in one day and A-Nator announced that she was lucky. Why? Because her book had very few pictures… and so many words!

Now, I wonder why I even doubted myself. We are looking forward to next year and all of the wonderful things we will learn… together, one day at a time.

“Don't judge each day by the harvest you reap but by the seeds that you plant.” ~Robert Louis Stevenson

  • Gracie would like me to ask all of my blog friends to please get on a plane and come buy her art. We're not asking much are we? ;)
  • I am still committed to the 30x5 with Linda, but must confess that the results have been slow. I think I’m in denial about my carb intake... or is it just age that is making me work harder? I refuse to go there... It seems this 94% fat free bag of popcorn is giving me the famous ‘allergic reaction’ around the mid-section.

I think we need to separate Mr. Kettle Corn.
You will be missed. Don’t worry though. I will visit you occasionally.

  1. Glad your hubby is back and the homeschooling went well this year.

I think my allergic reaction to cookies is doing me in ;), plus it keeps raining just when I am about to go do my pool work-out.

  3. I think my allergic reaction to food in general is doing me in!!! no discipline, that's my problem!

I had to laugh at your comment on my post today about my having a green thumb!!! Those flowers come up all by themselves year after year....if I had to do anything to them, I would kill them. I really have a "black" thumb!!! so, they just make me look good!!! :)
