I remember eating Egg-in-a-hole when I was little. Now, A-Nator enjoys them...
Mama: "You can be a silly girl. Did you know that?"
Gracie: "I am a silly girl… and it will go with me for generations. I just need to find a boyfriend who’s funny."
A few minutes later…
Gracie: "Mom, why do you keep laughing?"
Mama: "Because you’re so silly."
Gracie: "No, it just runs in the family. I just have to go along with it."

Josh LOVES egg-in-a-whole! Way to go on the hot breakfasts!
ReplyDeleteAdorable pictures....
Too cute! But oh Mama, she is already thinking boyfriends... mine are thinking husbands... how does that happen? Maybe having such an awesome daddy inspires them?
ReplyDeleteThat, seriously, was one of my favorite breakfasts as a kid. My mom called it "egg-in-a-plank." Not sure why. "Egg-in-a-whole" makes way more sense.
ReplyDeleteI'm so glad that another mother finds this important!
ReplyDeleteI'll admit, since we've moved into my in laws basement, I don't cook hot breakfasts too often. It takes a little more effort and well... I've been lazy! :( I have gotten the giddle out and also the waffle maker a time or two. I should make more of an effort.
My mom used to make egg in the holes for us too. I loved those things.
