Random notes to self...

1. Don’t eat half the batch of oatmeal/choc chip cookies…. even if they are healthy. Too much of a good thing is still not good for mama’s hips. Or maybe it’s an allergic reaction? That would make me feel better anyway.
2. Do all things with a grateful heart. They have to be done anyway. Why not have fun in the process? Don’t cry over spilled milk… err, I mean egg.

(This is what happens when lil' Gracie asks to help pour eggs into the skillet. Most of it lands under the oven. I chose to laugh. I figure it is better than crying.)

3. Enjoy every moment. They pass by too quickly! A messy house is okay. Enjoy the kids while they are little.
Do more of this with the girls…

(An entire day of painting on canvas with the girls.)

And a little less of this…

(part of Mama's to-do list)

4. Wait for movie reviews before taking the girls to the theater. Some lessons in Bride Wars may be awkward to explain to a 7 & 9 yr old. (ahem… Bachelorette party! Ugh!) Due to this, I will not be winning any mom of the year award any time soon.

5. Even on my ‘ugly days’, I am still beautifully and wonderfully made. 6. Don’t talk too much. Even if this will be your only interaction with an adult today!

7. Exercise. Just do it. It will make you feel better!

  1. Just hopped over here from Bayou Belles and their Beau and thought I would say hi. I enjoyed reading your posts! I absolutely love that black and white picture of your girls on the beach! :o)

  2. Wow, I guess we do have some things in common! You're so right, there's never a dull moment in ministry. It can be pretty stressful....somewhat like a rollercoaster ride, I guess. Thanks for visiting my blog and leaving a comment. I look forward to getting to know you too!

  3. I'm baaack! hahaha I crack myself up sometimes. I forgot to say thank you, for not calling me Debbie....that means a lot to me, you know! lol

I always enjoy reading what you have to say... It makes my day! ;)
