Thankful

I don't know why, but we have never been 'into' pumpkin carving.
Maybe it's because the tradition never began for us as kids?
Maybe it's the combination of sharp objects around small children?
Maybe it's laziness the mess?
Whatever the reason, we have always found ways around it.
One year we decorated a huge pumpkin face with vegetables.
It was a riot!

So here we are again.
Painting... again.
It's better late than never, right?

'Nator' painted Mama and herself,
while Gracie painted DK and herself {the tiniest one}.

I'm thinking I may have to try the pink eyelashes.
Hehe...

It's business in the front...

and a party in the back!

We also made {well, we just painted and glittered} aprons and bags.

Of course, Gracie's had pink and sparkles.
She even included hand-prints for me.
I try to capture the moments where I can.

Nator took Mama's advice and made a
'thankful' apron in the spirit of Thanksgiving.

 Today, I'm thankful for...

God, and what He's teaching me.
Hubby.
He gives good hugs, too.
Our health.
Lil' Girls.
Braiding my lil' girl's hair.
Gas in the Mom-wagon.
French-toast {for when you've run out of pancake ingredients}.
Homeschool.
Kid crafts... and the memories that ensue.
An organized loft/TV room/play/school area {that's finally painted}.
Educational programming.

And last {but not least}... Pen Pals! ;)
{Thanks Audrey and Emily
The girls were SO excited to get their letters!
We're working on our letters.}

What are you thankful for today?

I LOVE the apron idea!! gonna steal that one ;) we always make little turkey shirts and are looking forward to that again this year. It's fun to go back and look at the shirts and how much their little hands have grown.
